NCBA has rebranded the US Kids Golf Tour to the NCBA Junior Golf Series, incorporating it into the Annual NCBA Golf Series tournaments, according to an announcement on September 29.
This rebrand underscores NCBA’s commitment to promoting golf among Uganda’s younger generation.
Since 2019, NCBA has partnered with the US Kids Golf Tour and the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa to introduce juniors to golf and develop their skills. The NCBA Junior Golf Series goes beyond competition, offering young golfers a platform to build social, psychological, and physical skills.
Mark Muyobo, NCBA’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the bank’s mission to nurture young talent through fun and inclusive programs. “We sponsor 10 young golfers from underprivileged backgrounds across Uganda, aiming to help them compete internationally and raise the standard of junior golf in the country,” he said.
The series includes multi-day tournaments and camps for junior golfers aged 5 to 18. Over 70 juniors from countries like Canada, Germany, Uganda, and Kenya have already participated, with opportunities to qualify for international events such as the Rome Classic and the Big 5 Championship in South Africa.
NCBA’s support for junior golf aligns with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, reflecting values of inclusivity, unity, and responsible stewardship. The bank’s commitment to sports mirrors its broader mission to inspire greatness and help customers achieve financial success.
The NCBA Junior Golf Series not only showcases young talent but also fosters education, discipline, and friendship within African communities, promoting diversity and financial empowerment. NCBA Bank remains dedicated to supporting junior golf and ensuring that young athletes are positively mentored.
