Sheikh Shaban Mubaje urges Muslims to seize investment opportunities

Sheikh Shaban Mubaje has urged the Muslim community to engage in and pursue investment opportunities in the country to lead fulfilling lives.

Mubaje made these remarks during the handover ceremony of iftar food items donated by Diamond Trust Bank to the leadership of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council at Old Kampala on March 28.

He encouraged Muslims and other Ugandans to prioritize work over succumbing to negative influences, expressing gratitude to DTB for the iftar donation and emphasizing its significance for those in need during Ramadan.

“By engaging in work, you can generate more wealth and assist numerous Ugandans and fellow Muslims in overcoming poverty,” he said.

Andrew Musanje, the head of branches and channels at DTB, reiterated the bank’s commitment to providing inclusive financial services to all, reaffirming its support for the Muslim community during occasions like Ramadan.

“As DTB, we have consistently supported the Muslim community, and today, we are pleased to partner with the Old Kampala Muslim Mosque to give back to them,” Musanje added.

Mubaje also encouraged all district Khadi to embrace DTB’s products and services.

DTB’s donation follows President Yoweri Museveni’s hosting of the Muslim community for an iftar dinner at State House, Entebbe, where he commended the Muslim faithful for their progress during the Ramadan season.
