 Carrefour Uganda celebrates second anniversary of its customer loyalty program

Carrefour Uganda, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim, proudly marks the second anniversary of its loyalty program, ‘MyCLUB,’ with a festive celebration under the theme “Dabo: The Reasons to Celebrate.”

Launched in August 2022, the MyCLUB loyalty program was designed to give customers the opportunity to shop for less by earning and redeeming points. Since its inception, it has become a cornerstone of Carrefour’s customer engagement strategy, making every shopping experience more rewarding.

“Since its launch, MyCLUB has empowered our customers to maximize their savings through a simple and effective points system. Members earn points on their purchases, which can be redeemed for shopping and exclusive deals. This anniversary not only celebrates the success of the program but also expresses our deep appreciation for the support and loyalty of our valued customers,” said Christophe Orcet, Regional Director for East Africa at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, in a news release on Aug. 28.

The “Dabo: The Reasons to Celebrate” campaign runs from August 21 to September 3, 2024. During this period, customers will have the chance to win points that can be converted into cash when paying at the checkout, along with exciting offers on select in-store items.

There are up to 100,000,000 MyCLUB points available for customers who shop for 100,000 UGX or more, with an additional 50,000 instant points for those who sign up for MyCLUB and make a purchase at any Carrefour supermarket, including Carrefour Acacia Mall, Carrefour Oasis Mall, Carrefour Village Mall, Carrefour Victoria Mall, Carrefour Lugogo Mall, Carrefour Metroplex Mall Naalya, and Carrefour Arena Mall.

The MyCLUB loyalty program has built a strong community of over 58,000 loyal members, according to company executives.

“MyCLUB has been a game-changer for our customers, offering them tangible rewards of up to 20,409,830,705 points since its inception, and providing a more enjoyable shopping experience,” Orcet said.
